Insomnia strikes again…
Last night I was falling asleep at my chair, at the computer…but as soon as I lay down…my brain won’t shut off.
And I have a very long day of driving and class.
I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE this!!!

I get that a lot too. I can fall asleep during a movie even if I dont want to but when I go to sleep at night…no no, I gotta stay awake.

I suffered the same thing last night, and am suffering today. Maybe Stewart was making the final WW decision and we both keyed in on it?
Ever try writing from bed? Of course that might set up bad habits …

Yeah, this has been hapenning too much lately. I don’t write on the bed…but I do read on the bed and I’m thinking of maybe stopping that. In a perfect world my writing desk would not even be in the same room as the bed.
But yes, hopefully the price of insomnia is our psychic link to Stewart…
FYI, I broke down like a red-headed stepchild yesterday, and emailed the Man-in-Atlanta. He promised us an answer “soon.” So maybe not this week, but the next.
That said, the more I look at the book I wrote, the more it looks like @!#$%!* trash. I’d say you’re in competition with only 3 other writers — my novel is no threat. Fun to write, though.

Maybe…but we can often be the harshest critics of our work. As for my book, I still like the concept (the twisted protagonist) and the first half. But I really rushed the second half and really slapped it together (except the epilogue). My hopes in winnin lay in how well the Man-in-Atlanta likes that first half, and how much faith he has in the next draft.
Preach it, brother. A rewrite could make all the difference.
Did S. ever respond to your latest email?

Yeah, he gave me the same reply as you got.

Can Ijust say that it is cool that two authors in the same contest are chatting. Like shouldn’t you two be ripping out each other’s throats or something? There can be only one … or so the logic would go.

Hehe….”THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!!” You’re right…but while I”ve been talking to Harley here, I’ve eliminated the other three authors. Mwahahahahahahahaaha!!!
Actually…at this point in the game, I think we authors have more empathy for each other and the stress of waiting on the announcement and the final fruits of the hard work and…just more empathy than anything else.
